Do Japanese Girls Like Foreign Guys?
Being a foreigner in Japan has it’s ups and downs. One of the ups is that you are instantly a person of mystery and/or intrigue to many Japanese people. This leads to the phenomenon known as “Charisma Man,” which is basically a foreigner who couldn’t make any girlfriends back home, suddenly has become quite the ladies man. Being a foreigner doesn’t automatically make you a stud, but I would say, if you were being rated on a scale of 1-10, you would be at least 2 full points higher than you would be back home.
As for Japanese girls, there are basically 3 types:
- Gaijin Hunter–These girls can’t get enough of foreigners. They go to clubs and bars where foreigners in Japan hang out, usually speak pretty good English and tend not to be shy. It is not uncommon to be approached by them in social settings.
- J-Girls–These are your normal Japanese girls. They are interested or at least curious about foreigners but they usually they are a little shy and their English isn’t always as good. Most regular Japanese girls are open to the idea of dating or hooking up with a foreigner in Japan, but usually would not approach a foreigner.
- Japanese Pride–These Japanese girls, for one reason or another, only are interested in Japanese guys. Usually these girls don’t speak English very well and could care less about the foreigners in Japan. Girls from this group won’t give you the time of day, you will know it if you meet them in a club or a bar.
All in all Japanese girls like foreign guys, but still if you have no game, it doesn’t matter. The best advice I can give you is don’t be shy, sometimes all it takes is hello.
